As applicable from 14th March 2020 the TRNC Council of Ministers decided to close down the public and private businesses and offices until 27th March 2020. Certain government offices and private enterprises will continue to operate . The government offices and the private businesses which will be open are stated below :

• Supermarkets,markets, parmacies, public and private health services,bakeries,petrol stations will remain open.
• Butchers and SUTEK and other dairy factories will remain open together with the companies which provide supplies to markets,pharmacies and bakeries.
• Sale activities of the Agricultural company will continue.
• The services of busses including KIBHAS will stop, taxis will continue to operate.
• Security companies will continue to operate.
• Water service companies will continue to operate.
• In some places orange picking and packaging activities will continue.
• Banks will remain open ande operate with minimum staff until lunch time. Only limited number of customers will be served together.
• The Income Tax Office and Customs will continue with their services.
• The Income Tax payments will be made on the 16th of March 2020. There will be penalty on late payments.
• The payment dates of VAT, Special Communications Tax , Provident Fund and Social Security premiums was extended to 31 st March 2020 and there will not be penalty for late payment.
